While you might think of jumping rope off two feet, you often jump off one foot in basketball or push laterally off of one foot. Doing one-foot jump rope drills will help you jump higher and be quicker on defense. They will also help you with your balance.

Single jumps is when you turn the jump rope once around your body before your feet touch the ground again. Double jumps are when the rope travels around your body twice before your feet touch the ground again. Double jumps are more difficult and require more quickness and coordination.
