John Tauer: Building a Championship Culture
A winning basketball program is so much more than fundamental basketball skills and strategies. Too often, coaches focus upon these much more than developing a winning culture. In this video, you will hear from Dr. John Tauer, head basketball coach at the University of St. Thomas, who shares his philosophy of building a championship program. It’s something he knows a lot about having played in, been an assistant coach, and been a head coach in the NCAA Division III Final Four.
Coach Tauer discusses philosophy, universal offensive principles, and practice drills that can improve any team no matter the style of play. Coach Tauer is also a psychology professor and brings a very unique approach to building a championship program.
