(Rental)-4 OUT 1 IN MOTION OFFENSE
4-Out 1-In Motion Offense
One of the most successful high school head coaches in the country, Michael Peck of Findlay Prep in Nevada shows you his simple, structured, proven offense in this 57-minute video. What Coach Peck has accomplished in just five seasons at Findlay Prep is nothing short of amazing. His teams captured three straight ESPN NHSI championships between 2008 and 2012. In those five seasons, Coach Peck’s teams went 157-8 overall, 65-0 at home, and produced four NBA draft picks.
In this video, Coach Peck presents to you a step-by-step guide of his motion offense. It all starts with basic formation and terminology, which are key elements to any successful offense. Coach Peck explains how the 2 and 3 and the 4 and 5 are interchangeable which allows for more creativity and flexibility in the 4-out 1-in motion sets.
Coach Peck begins with the Gator Series. He demonstrates 10 quick hitting strikes that your offense can use to get an easy basket in the half court setting. Each play provides the same initial look – a post inside with three guards and a stretch-4 outside. Peck provides options for each player and also shows you how each quick hitter flows within the offense.
Coach Peck also demonstrates the Dribble Weave Hit set which uses screens by the posts to get a wing open for a great driving angle. The Step Up and Step Up Big actions have the wing and post players change the angle of their screens to help the point guard get a quick scoring opportunity.
Each of the quick hitting actions is taught in a 5-on-0 setting. Coach Peck is able to teach each player more intensively. He breaks down each step of each play and shows you how defenses will react. Once players have mastered these quick hitting plays, Coach Peck advances to the counters. This really drives opponents crazy as they attempt to scout your offense. Again, Peck shows you each counter in a 5-on-0 situation so that he can clearly explain each action and the defensive response.
Coach Peck’s offense is truly a sight to behold and you can see it all in this video.
