I've been SWARMING for a few years (4 yrs.) and, I love it.  I love it because kids are been drilled on real game situations and constantly playing on basketballinstincts. It amazing, if you haven't tried it, heard about it, read about it or seen the DVD's. What are you waiingt for?  It's a must, if you have a passion for defense, and love basketball (and winning). This defense is an equalizer.  I first tried it out with my high school kids, and man, oh man; it won us some games we had no business winning.

The difference, WE WERE SWARMING.  We were attacking our opponents, instead of, just standing there defending them. We were confusing and frustrating them with the different defensive habit learned and applied in practice about SWARM DEFENSE.  I will finish with this,  my son's youth team are really benefited from the SWARM DEFENSE.  I taught it to them when they where 4th graders and now they're 7th graders. 

They are a small in stature and very skinny kids.  They were out matched in height and weight, but not on the court.  They were out hustling and out playing the bigger teams.  They were SWARMING, they were loving it and their parents, as well.  This boys trap, rotated and recover, and play passing lane to steal pass.  It was incredible. I would hear comments made all the time on how our boys had a nose for the ball, on how they had great instincts, etc...  All along we were drilling the SWARM DEFENSE.  I recommend it to all.

I was a little reluctant to spend money on basketball information that I've never heard of before. After some more research and exchanging emails with Coach Walters himself I decide to purchase a few video's. What I recieved in return has far exceeded my expectations. Coach Walters has yet to let me down in answering any questions that I have and has provided me with so much bonus material and updates that I've since forgotton what I spent on the original two dvd's. I've learned so much from what I've purchased and what he has provided me that currently I'm looking into purchasing his newest material. Even if you don't plan on using the swarm exclusively, there's something for everyone in the basketball knowlege that Coach Walters has to share.

Over the years, I have implemented a number of Coach Walter’s defensive principles, primarily the Twist rotation,  into my defensive philosophy, and  witnessed a change in our defensive mindset.  Using rotational principles allows us to defensively challenge teams and apply constant pressure on the ball.  There are a number of Swarm concepts and variations which gives you flexibility to pick and choose when and where you want to apply Swarm concepts.  Coach Walter’s Swarm defense offers unique defensive ideas that apply constant pressure on the ball and eliminates the need to play help and recover defense.  I frequently call Coach Walter’s to ask offensive and defensive questions, which is an asset that you normally don’t have when purchasing coaching resources.

I would like to say that the Swarm has helped totally transformed and energized my team. We are a very young team with no experience and our tallest player is 5'5. We aren't the fastest but the Swarm sprit to help has put us right back into the game. We are asking our kids to do one thing at a time, sprint not slide and do it full speed just as coach Walters says. Our kids are really learning the game of basketball and as a coach the Swarm has complete our system. Our kids have learned to trust each other and play with new confidence. The swarm network of coaches have also along with coach Walters have been great in communication.

My daughter and I coach the MS girls team in N.H. We have found the Swarm principles easy to teach from a 2-3 zone. We also use them in our Full Court Press. We have just started our season with a 20 point win. With Swarm in the press, they can't score if they can not get it across half court. After seeing it our MS boys coach is getting his team to run it also. We will get the full rotations installed by the holidays we hope. It is a surprise to other teams and effective so far.
