Get your shot off quicker than ever yet maintain accuracy.
Innovative shooting drills are effective and fun.
The DVD features a complete Quick Release workout.
Dorian will teach you how to get your shot off quicker off the catch and off the dribble.
As you progress to higher levels of basketball, you will have to get your shot off quicker as players will be bigger, longer, and quicker.
The mental side to shooting is one of the most important components in the shooting process. Dorian will explain to you how to develop the proper frame of mind as you embark upon an exciting "new" way of shooting.
Forget about being born with confidence, there is no such thing! Dorian explains that confidence in shooting is a layered process with small successes stacked on top of small successes until you ARE a success. Dorian will explain his breakthrough equation: Confidence is equal to skill times repetition at game speed or C=S x RGS. Confidence will be yours for the taking!
Dorian will clearly explain the two areas in shooting,Form and Focus, and their role in making you become an outstanding shooter.
It's not just enough to show drills on ABT DVDs. We also work hard to make learning advanced techniques easier to learn. In the picture above shows the correct way vs. the wrong way to do the "Drop", a term coined by Dorian. Comparing them side by side definitively shows why the correct way is better.
Having a quick release is one part illusion and one part quickness. The illusion lies more in the fact that some of the “quickness” of the release deals with what is removed from the athlete’s shot (wasted motion) than with what “quickness” is added. Above, Dorian breaks down the components of proper form and where "quickness" can be added. He also talks about the common tendencies of "slow release" shooters.
Dorian demonstrates the innovative "spring load" or "chair load shooting" method. This method will increase power and range instantly!
Dorian prepares you for "spring load" in triple threat by staying extremely low on offensive moves. It will allow you to be more explosive on all moves out of triple threat as well as get your defender off balance.
Dorian will teach you the "Accelerated Step In" (explosive 1,2 step) to become more elusive and explosive when shooting out of triple threat. When done right the defender cannot tell if you are going to the basket or about to pull up. It is a very abrupt move that usually creates so much separation that it is nearly impossible for the defender to recover in time.
Dorian demonstrates the "Explosive Jump Stop" which adds spice to a basketball cornerstone move. However, with Dorian's "Explosive Jump Stop" you will see the range on your shot grow in a nanosecond, without lifting a single weight to get stronger!
Dorian will show you the 4 ways to pick up your ball when pulling up for a jump shot : Between the legs, behind the back, crossover, or a straight pull up. Dorian will do so with amazing quickness!
Demonstrated at the highest possible levels by the presenter. No Talking Heads in ABT videos. We won't have someone talking and then bring out the demonstrators. Our trainers demonstrate and teach the skills and drills at the highest level.
The Sweat Factor - It's amazing how many instructional basketball videos you can watch where nobody ever sweats! That's not the case with our ABT trainers. They go all out to show you how hard you should be working. Yes, that's real sweat you'll see on ABT videos.
ABT videos are shot at various angles to demonstrate skills to make learning easy. We don't hit the record button and call it a day. We think about how each shot will best teach a drill to make learning easier.
ABT videos are the ultimate instructional basketball tool just short of actually working with an ABT trainer.
Exciting presentation and graphics make ABT videos fun to watch.
