Jay is being recognized by many basketball icons to be the leader of the next generation of trainers. Jay trains a number of NBA players as well as aspiring amateurs. Jay also works with Collegiate Programs like the University of Maryland, Villanova, Hofstra, Temple and others.
Jay is featured on Sportskool, a cable television channel in NY where subscribers get free sports advice from players and coaches like Bill Walton, Mia Hamm and others. Jay also produced a video with Boston Celtics Star, Wally Szczerbiak on driils and skills. More videos are coming through a new series called Advanced Basketball Training. Jay is a a featured expert on Hoopsking.com and has been published in FIBA Assist Magazine. Jay has played with and against the likes of Kobe Bryant, Elton Brand, Desmond Mason, Earl Watson, Steve Francis, Ron Artest, Lamar Odom, Speedy Claxton, Carlos Arroyo, Wally Szczerbiak, Rafer Alston and others. What he has seen up close he has applied in his teachings.
Jay played professionally in Puerto Rico for 4 years where he was named Captain, was top 10 in the league in Assists and won a 3-point shooting competition. In college Jay was a 4 year starter at Hofstra and UNH, 1,000 point scorer, defensive player of the yr, shooter of the yr, All Rookie Team, Chevrolet Player of the Game versus UCLA and 2x captain of Hofstra's back to back NCAA Tournament appearances. Jay is the youngest Legend ever selected by the CAA. Jay played HS ball at St. Dominic where he led the team to 2 LI Cathloic Championships and 1 State Catholic Championship. Jay was picked by Newsday as one of the top 10 Catholic School Players of all time.
