We take a different approach to selling the M.V.P. Vertical Jump program. We aren't going to make outrageous claims like your going to be picking quarters off the top of the backboard to get you to buy M.V.P. What we would like you to do is to ask these questions when thinking about starting and purchasing any vertical jump program including the M.V.P. Vertical Jump program.

  1. Does the vertical jump program tell who the author is? If no, then run as fast as you can from the program. You do not want to do any program that does not divulge who the author is and their qualifications for writing the program. Anyone can sit down and write up a program and post it for sale on the Internet. They don't even have to train athletes nor have any college degrees in athletic training to sell a program.

  2. If the vertical jump program uses some special device such as platform shoes, have any independent studies been done? When looking at any device, read the study carefully. One famously quoted study for platform shoes showed that they increased vertical jump in the athletes using them. What the manufacturers of the platform shoes fail to mention is that the control group of athletes doing the same training program but without the platform shoes increased their vertical jump just as much as those who wore the shoes. Of course if they mention that you'll know that you don't really need the shoes to increase your vertical jump and they won't be able to sell you expensive pieces of rubber.

  3. If an author does exist do they make their living training athletes? Anyone who knows what is best for athletes actually works in the field and trains athletes for a living. Anything short of that you aren't getting the best and brightest in the field. If you want the latest techniques you want someone who is constantly talking with other experts in their field to obtain the greatest knowledge and stay current in their field and is training the top athletes.

  4. Is the vertical jump program designed to maximize my vertical jump by using a comprehensive approach? Trying to jump as high as you possibly can takes more than just jumping, more than just weight training, and more than just strengthening your calf muscles. Your upper body, core, abdominals, quads, and calves all play a role in your jumping ability along with explosiveness, power, and flexibility. Many programs focus in on the calf muscles and your calves are only responsible for about 30% of your jumping ability. That leaves 70% of your body untrained that can help you jump higher. The M.V.P. Vertical Jump program takes a comprehensive approach so that you will attain your maximum vertical jump potential.

  5. Does the vertical jump program make outrageous claims? There are so many vertical jump programs on the market today and with the explosion of the Internet, any hack can whip up a program to download and make outrageous claims about the effectiveness of the program. Wild claims of doubling your vertical jump, adding 10 inches in a month, not having to do any real work are all just ploys to get your hard earned cash. They really aren't selling you a program. They know how bad you want to increase your vertical and dunk the basketball and they take advantage of that by making you believe their program is the quick road to success. The road to success isn't lined with shortcuts, it's lined with hard work.

  6. Does the website selling the vertical jump program look cheesy? Ok, you've seen these types of sites whether they are vertical jump programs or not, where portions of the text on the page are highlighted in yellow, feature P.S., P.S.S. P.S.S.S. - you get the idea. These sites are usually one great big page and offer all sorts of worthless ebooks to go along with your purchase. Don't fall for this type of site. These sites are all about marketing and making a sale and will do or say anything to get you to enter that credit card number. Also, you'd better make the purchase right away or the price is going from $300 to $1000 in the next 30 minutes. Puh-lease!
